Sorry for the absolute lack of blogging lately; I’ve been out sick and well, the computer has been the last thing on my mind this week. (Bad blogger…no biscuit for you!).

But, I couldn’t let this go without posting. The much talked about cell phone law takes effect in Washington State today. What does this mean for the wedding world? Well, if you have a hands-free device, not much, but for the rest of us who haven’t converted…watch out. This means vendors and brides and grooms alike. And let’s face it. So much of wedding planning is done via cell phone, it’s hard to get around. So just be careful out there. No one wants to get pulled over for cell phone usage on the way to a tasting.

180 candle holders that I used on the tables at my wedding reception. They have no wax residue- I used the tealights with a foil bottom. I will also include 2 packs of Ikea tealights (200 candles), unopened. The candles burn for approx. 4 hours.

My husband and I were planning a wedding for this year. We decided to elope in Leavenworth. We had to pay 1/2 of the wedding venue to reserve the date. It was to be on a Saturday so we paid $700 down.
We are looking into wether we can transfer the deposit to another couple. Please let me know if you would be interested in having a wedding here. It would save you $400 on your wedding venue, if you were to get married on the weekend.

The place is really cute, very affordable, and you could certainly take advantage everything she has to offer. One stop shop.

First, here’s an article about Washington Redskin’s player, Chris Cooley about his recent (at the time upcoming) marriage to former cheerleader Christy. Maybe it was the fact that it was a Washington State player, or maybe it was because he put himself out there and said what I hear other couples say about their spouses; he loves her and he’s excited to get married. My favorite excerpt:

“While I can’t wait to put the ring on I’ve had some resoundingly bad conversations over the last couple of months. Golf may have an uncountable list of ethics, though bothering a complete stranger about getting married is not one of them. First of all, I’m excited for the big day, so please don’t feel sorry for me because marriage sucks for you. No, I’m not nervous, I don’t want any marriage advice, and yes Christy’s mom is still hot.”

Yes, people love to dole out the “don’t do it” advice when they’re not being asked. I’m sure it can’t be any easier for someone with celebrity status. Fans can be notoriously rough critics.

Before I gush any further about the clothes, there are two reasons this is wedding related. One…Texture Clothing makes up the majority of my wedding coordinating wardrobe. I wear the black comfy skirts and colorful tops to meetings with potential clients, bridal shows, ABC meetings and on the day of the event. (Click on my About page to see proof!)

The second reason is that she has a brand new line of dresses…oh yeah, can you say bridesmaids? I bought one of each color because I’m a sucker for beautiful clothing. But I’m also picky about quality.

She calls them the bottle dress, and they come in dusty blue and dusty yellow. They’re made from a hemp/p.e.t. blend (fabrics that, up until now have always a rough look), have finished seems and are oh so soft. For $98.00 a dress, you can’t be the price, and of course, Teresa does all the alterations.

I’m going to eventually get a wedding gown from her, but I thought these were a lovely addition to her line and a great possibility for weddings.
