Uncommon Goods
Every few months I receive a catalog from Uncommon Goods, and every time I pour over its contents. I thought I’d feature a few of the more unique or quirky items that could be used in weddings.
Elephant Poo Roses Yes that’s what it says. These odorless babies would be perfect for couple with a sense of humor. An offbeat bride perhaps? If you do the bouquet toss with these, I wouldn’t tell the croud what they’re made of until afterwards. Or better yet, skip it all together.
Box of Chocolate Wishes I saw this and immediately thought guest book. Depending on the size of your guest list, you could do the larger (196 sheets) or the smaller size (50 sheets). Wishing Wall With 400 sheets, this is a large guest book. But better yet, put tiny favors attached to ribbons in the honeycomb – each favor (can’t go wrong with chocolate) could hold a wish suck as luck, propserity, love and so on. Then ask the guests to replace it with a wish of their own for you as a couple. It could be also used as a funky seating chart. The imagination is the limit!
Family Tree Album I love family history. And marriage is a beautiful public display of your intent to form a new family. But what about the ones who came before you? Here is a great way to show what your combined history is made of…especially before babies come along.
