Snopes Weddings
One of my favorite websites for dispelling urban myths and legends is Snopes. It seems to cover every subject from Disney to AOL (no you won’t get money for forwarding this), so I guess it should be no surprise that there’s a section of it’s main page devoted to weddings.
If you’re looking for true urban legends, head on over to the Embarrassments page. The rest are good for a few raised eye-brows and a “thank goodness that’s not true”.
And what’s one of the biggest wedding urban legend still circulating…rice and birds. Read here to find out what exactly is it about throwing rice at weddings.
