Waiting for the Train
I’m still at a loss on how to introduce this gem. So many puns come to mind and yet I can’t decide, so I’m going to go in reverse order: information first and puns second!
According to the Guinness Book of World Records.
“The longest wedding dress train measured 1362 m (4468 ft 5.94 in) and was created by Andreas Evstratiou (Cyprus) of the bridal shop, Green Leaf, in Paphos, Cyprus, on the February 18, 2007.”
I was initially looking for the most expensive dress, but this is cool none-the-less. You can do a search for “longest wedding train” to see who else is trying for the title. Okay, time for the funnies.
“You can invite as many guests as your train is long”
“She was married in two time zones”
“all of the budget went into the train”
“Ride the train!”
So these aren’t my best. Anyone want to take a shot at it?
How about instead of playing the wedding march, they play: “Come on ride the Train” by the Quad City DJs? ^^
Your post was interesting—setting a Guinness World Record for the longest wedding gown train! I must say, that, whoever that bride was, wasn’t such a busy bride, having enough time to think about setting a world record alongside arranging her wedding! *whew*
