Project Wedding

Word of mouth is the greatest advertisement, but when you don’t know many other brides and grooms, it’s hard to see what someone has said about a photographer you’re looking at or a wedding coordinator you want to interview. This is where Project Wedding can help. Many brides will use the Knot to rate their vendors using a letter system, but first you have to find their bios and then you never know if someone’s B is another person’s A+++++.

Besides vendor reviews, Project Wedding has other features very similar to the Knot: bios, photos and forums but with some fun things like sending a toast and adding friends. It was started by couple Joe and Margaret who, when they met with vendors for their own wedding, found that reality often didn’t match up with vendors’ advertisements and websites.

They started with New York and California, but have since added a Seattle area listing, so check it out!
